A Day of Jam and Bread.
February 5, 2012
Home blooms.
A.M. breakfast
blue
skies
hint
of
clouds,
a
bloom
a book
and
a
bowl of cereal.
I
never
tire
(ever)
of
simple
turns
of
beauty.
January 31, 2012
On a Tuesday.
These tulips were never properly plucked from their wrapper,
just stuck in a
jar, and
there they have sat
all
week.
But the sun, showed up
this a.m.
just a ray
or two, and
suddenly
those
old tulips
became
a
quiet
favorite.
Quite.
And
the
dishes
et. al.
small
leaning
towers
placed precariously
make
me
smile
too,
why
not.
A
favorite
book
.
There.
Easy
does
it.

Mostly Rain
R
ain
all
the
live long day, and
night, with a
tincture of
snow
yesterday.
A
sweet
one
home sick
and
seeking
things
to do
.
A
papaya
to eat,
and
things
to draw.
And a fire
to light
in the fireplace.

Then Comes A Day after New Years
J
anuary
days
and
books that
tower
and
beckon
and
lean
towards
you
when you walk by.
So, out of a farmer's cookbook,
a child finds a recipe,
alters it,
and
bakes
this
cake. Let us partake.
And Tweed
looks
longingly
on.

Light of Day
Mid
December
and candles lit and pages
yet to
turn.
School
days
end
and
girls rush
home
for
hot
chocolate.
And
Christmas
movies
here
and
there.

Just That Time
It's that
time
of
year.
The tree
brought
inside.
Lights,
candles,
action.
Girls hanging
ornaments.
Fresh
hazelnuts and
apple cider from
the farm, now
we
just
need some
snow.
Well,
sunlight
works
too.

Good Morning
And in this studio,
there is
light
that
streams through windows this a.m.,
a bold
muted light
which
streams and dapples around
paints and brushes
enticing
paper
to
sway
and
designs
to be
drawn.

Smatterings
So,
just a
few scatter
ed
leaves
and
then
December
.
Not
many
pictures
taken.
But
life
is
sometimes
like
that.
